Attendance and absences
Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.
In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent.

Galston High School is committed to explicitly teaching and modelling positive behaviour and is supportive of all students being engaged with their learning to achieve their personal best. Key programs prioritised and valued by the school community are the Student Code of Conduct, K3YS and Pastoral Care. We want everyone to feel safe within our school and have the following resources to assist in managing student behaviour;
