The churches of the GCEA have agreed to cross-authorise the teaching of SRE at Galston High School.

The curriculum is provided by the Baptist Union of NSW. For more information regarding the curriculum, including the scope and sequence, please visit the website:

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be placed in alternate classrooms supervised by senior teachers. Students are expected to participate in meaningful activities that could include reading, private study or completing homework.

If you would like to opt-in or out of Special Religious Education, please download and complete the SRE participation letter and have your child return it to the front office.

Please note, unless advised otherwise through the SRE participation letter, students will continue the same arrangement as the previous year. A parent/carer may, at any time, notify the school that they wish to change their decision by completing the SRE participation letter.
